Cyber Security should be commonplace for ALL business and individuals. Criminals have become increasingly clever at stealing data and disabling critical systems. More recent threats like Ransomware encrypt all your data crippling your business within minutes and holding you to a financial ransom in order to restore your services. Therefore, ALL business MUST take cyber security very seriously.
What is Cyber Security?
Cyber security is how businesses and individuals reduce the risk of cyber attack by protecting the devices we all use (Computers, Laptops, Smartphones and Tablets) and the services we access, online, at work or at home from malicious damage and data theft.
It’s also about preventing unauthorised access to our personal information stored online or any of our devices.

What can be done?
There are several measures that can be taken to reduce your risk. These range from staff training and awareness to comprehensive software and hardware solutions to add system protection. It is a little like insurance, you can spend fortunes to ensure your safety but in reality it is about assessing your risk level and putting a measured response in place to suit your budget. The worst thing a business can do is nothing! Don’t bury your head in the sand, many sensible measures cost very little or even nothing at all.
We advise all out clients to have a Cyber Security review annually. This need not be expensive, but ensures you are aware of the latest threats, prevention measures and that any previous measures have been correctly implemented and adhered to.
