Genesis Liquid is the latest leading edge retail back office solution offered by Proteus Business Solutions Ltd. Designed to work in conjunction with several third party POS solutions and our own Genesis POS. Genesis Liquid is a comprehensive retail stock management system. Proteus Business Solutions Ltd have 40 years experience in back office solution design, which started with our first DOS based offering F.M.S in 1982.

Stock Counting

  • The new guided design and POS awareness ensures all stock counting tasks are flawless.
  • Catch Up Stock Counting – Allows you to count days or weeks after an end of period but back date the adjustment to any point in time. No longer do you need to be in all night stock counting at the end of a period!
  • POS Awareness ensures that real-time or near real-time stock data is seamlessly available for all supported POS solutions.
  • Our Wireless Hand Held Terminal combined with the appropriate POS Solution can provide true real-time stock counting, each time an item is scanned on the hand held the system takes a realtime snap shop of the stock for that item.

Promotions

  • Genesis has comprehensive consumer promotion support (3 for 2 or 2 for 99p for example).
  • Quickly create a variety of different consumer promotions, including group combination promotions (meal deals!).
  • Automatically download consumer promotions from your supplier. Select the promotions you wish to offer from a list and apply. They are then added to your in-store promotions and automatically sent to your POS Solution.
  • Test promotions with the Promo Checker tool.
  • Diagnose promotion issues with the Promo Trouble Shooter tool. Often you can find that a product is in multiple promotions and this can have undesired results within your POS solution! This is easilly identified with the Promo Trouble Shooter tool.
  • Specify a single barcode for an item or automatically include all associated barcodes for a single item.

Reporting

  • All reports are previewed on your display and can be easily targeted to one or more Printers, PDF Files or Email. Combined with a host of export formats for Excel, Word, CSV etc. makes for a first class reporting engine.
  • Genesis has a built in email client allowing all reports to be emailed directly to one or more recipients faster and easier than ever before.
  • Reports are generated in the background, so running complex reports can be completed in the background while you get on with other tasks. Ensuring no waiting around with nothing useful to do!
  • Scheduled reporting. Allows reports to be defined and run overnight on a continued basis. For example daily, weekly or monthly sales could be emailed overnight to any device ensuring you are well informed even when not on-site.

Wireless Label Printing

  • Use the optional Wireless Label Printer for Shelf Edge Labels, Product pricing and identification or Reduced (Mark Down) pricing.
  • Shelf Edge labels can be printed to your standard A4 Printer to the Wireless Label Printer on either Card or Self-Adhesive labels.
  • Mark Down Pricing – is fast and simple and can be used from the back office or on the shop floor with our Hand Held Terminal. Scan an item, select how much to mark it down, choose the number of labels required and click print. The system will produce a new barcode label with the original price, reduced price and a special barcode so that when scanned on the till the new reduced price will be automatically applied. We have pre-printed RED REDUCED labels for this purpose.
  • Product Pricing – Allows production of your own in-store barcodes and/or price labels.

POS Communications

  • Communications between the back office and your POS solution is fully automated. Any changes made in the back office are sent to the POS system(s) in the background on a continual basis. Sales data is processed in the background in real-time or if the POS system doesn’t support real-time the daily sales data is collected and processed as soon as it is made available by the POS solution.
